Geometric Primitives Geometric primitives are basic shapes that 3ds max provides as parametric objects. |

In 3ds max, we can create many objects using standard primitive, like Sphere, Box, Cylinder, Cone, Tube, Torus, Pyramid etc. Then we can combine two or more objects to create complex objects. These primitives are parametric, it means we can change their parameters like dimensions, segment settings, and other features after creation of these objects. Parametric objects respond to changes in their parameters by dynamically updating their properties. To observe this feature, create Sphere in any Viewport and observe Create Panel area. |

Observe this area carefully Change Radius value, either by clicking on amount spinner or highlight present radius value using mouse and give new value from keyboard and press Enter button on keyboard and see how Sphere also responds by changing its size in all Viewports. |

| If we deselect Sphere, then parameters will not be availabale here even if Sphere is selected again. Now we can change parameters from Modify Panel only as explained in Next Lesson. | ||
