Working
with 3ds max can be very easy, once you are familiar to its interface.
| |
| |
If
you bring, mouse cursor near any tool on Main Tool Bar, it changes to
Arrow shape.
| |
| Mouse
cursur will change to Hand shape, if you carry mouse on the Edge of
Main tool bar or if you bring mouse on an empty area of tool bar. |
When
mouse cursor changes to hand shape, press mouse button and drag mouse
- Left or Right - Tool Bar will also move. Many tools, which were
not visible earliar, are visible.
This innovative idea is real good, when using 15" or
17" monitors, because on smaller resolution screens, the toolbar
is too long to be entirely visible. To view the hidden end of the
tool bar, position the cursor on the toolbar away from the buttons
(the cursor will change to a hand). Then press and drag the toolbar
in either direction. |
| |
Same
technique also works in the Command Panel -->
Material Editor and any other place
where
the panel exceeds the given space
| |
When
you bring mouse on an empty area inside
Command Panel, it changes to Hand shape,
now press mouse button and drag Up or Down
and you are able to see many more buttons.
It means part of Command Panel containing buttons
is also movable.

Note
: To see the entire Main Toolbar, we need to set monitor resolution to
1280 X 1024 (suitable for 20' or 21' monitors)
